Temsa Global believes that being respectful to the environment is a social essentiality. Therefore, to influence the environment at a minimum level, Temsa Global discusses and applies its targets, every step of its activities and implementation methods of business processes with environmental consciousness.
Several studies, mainly on waste amount minimization, wastewater recycling, natural resources saving - resulting in reduction of energy consumptions, costs and the “carbon footprint” caused by energy consumptions, are being carried out about the environment.
The usage of eco-friendly technologies within the vehicles produced, the calculation of recyclability and recoverability ratios of the vehicles under the scope of “life cycle assessment”, are also the other studies.
In 2009, the city bus – Avenue CNG, which is developed as a proof of the sensitivity and the investments about the environment and nature friendly fuel usage and which works with compressed natural gas and as a result, helps to reduce the carbon emissions caused by the fossil-fuel consumption and therefore helps to reduce the “carbon footprint” caused by the usage of the vehicles produced, has been promoted by the motto “Temsa knows to be green!”.
The “Environmental Performance Index” (EPI) which is the method of examination and performance evaluation of the environmental sustainability and by which the whole environmental activities and applications related to the management and facilities are reviewed on a yearly basis, has increased by a ratio of 13 % in comparison with the value in 2008.
As continually improving the environmantal performance, Temsa Global – undertaking fitting all the legal provisions and the other relevant obligations, has continued its activities within this concept, in 2009.
